RATIONALE SOMETHING FOR NOTHING

We have been walking firmly in sync with London based Rationale over the past few months and we don't plan on slowing down. In fact, latest release 'Something For Nothing' makes us want to tighten our grip and most importantly, bring you along with us. Having sent the digital world in to a frenzy with last year's Fuel To The Fire EP, his most current master stroke looks set to follow and swiftly made its way into Annie Mac's Hottest Record In The World collection earlier in the week. This musician seems to shine with each delivery and it's hugely impressive for an artist's effect to be so immediate. Rationale's visions are rousing, in production and range. Vocals strike here with sharpness and depth whilst still managing to turn listeners woozy with a smooth honey-like tonic. Slick, wise and contemporary, every element we hear seems to lock into place and expose music aglow with soul. The dynamics of the track are intricate, but not complicatedly so, and ultimately it just strengthens our connection to it. Rationale is set to perform a string of UK dates kicking off in late March and you can catch him at Shoreditch's renowned Village Underground venue on 7th April. -LB
